REBELLIOUS SPIRIT NEW HORIZONS Rebellischer, moderner und noch eingängiger, so zeigen sich Rebellious Spirit auf ihrer neuen Scheibe „NEW HORIZONS“. Die Jungs aus Süddeutschland, die bereits 2013 im Durchschnittsalter von 18 Jahren mit ihrem Debut Gamble Shot für Furore gesorgt haben und spätestens 2014 mit ihrem zweiten Album Obsession ihren Platz im Musikbusiness gefunden haben, tauchen nun wieder auf. Mittlerweile sind sie aber keine Jungs mehr. Wenn man auf die 6jährige Bandgeschichte zurückblickt, könnte man fast von „alten Hasen“ reden, was jedoch in Anbetracht des 21jährigen Frontmanns nicht ganz zutrifft. Seither ist viel passiert. Erfahrungen wurden gesammelt, die ihre Spuren hinterließen. Mittlerweile hat Rebellious Spirit europaweit über 150 Konzerte absolviert. Dabei tourte die Band mit W.A.S.P., Axel Rudi Pell, Freedom Call, The Poodles und Bonfire. Auch bekannte Festivals wurden bespielt, dabei teilte man sich die Bühne mit Bands wie Accept, Europe, Lordi, Iced Earth oder Alice Cooper. Egal ob auf kleiner Clubbühne oder großen Festivals, Rebellious Spirit hinterließen durch ihre energiegeladenen Liveshows immer einen mehr als bleibenden Eindruck! Im Sommer 2016 wurde das dritte Album im Studio aufgenommen, das über die Zukunft der Band entscheiden wird. Zwei Jahre wurde hart an den Songs gearbeitet, um nun das finale Endprodukt zu präsentieren. Die Kompositionen setzen den mit Obsession begonnenen Weg nicht nur fort, sondern überschreiten neue Horizonte, wodurch die Zielgruppe deutlich erweitert und auch jünger wird. Die Songs sind härter, rebellischer, moderner und noch eingängiger. Songs, die teilweise an härtere Metalbands wie Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed oder In Flames erinnern, wechseln sich ab mit gefühlvollen, zerbrechlichen Seiten Janniks, dessen Stimme so wandelbar wie noch nie ist. So bewegen sich die Songs des Albums zwischen Alternative Rock, Metal mit Core Einflüssen und klassischem Rocksound so souverän, ohne dass Melodie und Komposition dabei einer puren Effekthascherei zum Opfer fallen. Sie selbst sprechen von „CROSSOVER ROCK“, mit dem die Band womöglich den Sound der Zeit getroffen haben. Zweifelsfrei wird Rebellious Spirit diese frische Kraft der neuen Songs auch auf der Bühne entfalten können und somit neue Horizonte erobern. |

REBELLIOUS SPIRIT NEW HORIZONS Heavier, up-to-date and even catchier, simply more rebellious... that's how Rebellious Spirit like to present themselves on the current record “New Horizons“! The group from Southern Germany who already caused a stir in 2013 with their debut album “Gamble Shot” (at an average age of 18!) and ground out their place in music business with the follow-up “Obsession” (2014), has finally returned with new material. The boys have become grown-ups by now. Looking back at a band history of 6 years, you might as well call them “old hands”. This, however, is contradicted with a 21-year old front man. A lot has happened. Many experiences have left their marks... More than 150 shows all over Europe, among them tours with W.A.S.P., Axel Rudi Pell, Freedom Call, The Poodles or Bonfire. They played festival slots with bands such as Accept, Europe, Lordi, Iced Earth or Alice Cooper. No matter what stage size and what kind of location, they always made a lasting impression with their energetic live show! In summer 2016, the band decided to return to studio in order to record the third album, which may determine the band's future. Two years of tough work have ended up in presenting the final product. The compositions on the new album are not only about following the path of “Obsession” but exploring new horizons and responding to a wider and younger audience! The Music is heavier, more up-to-date and catchier. Songs with obvious influences from metal bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed or In Flames are mixed with an emotional, even fragile touch. All songs are carried by the voice of Jannik, which has become more alterable than ever! Therefore all songs lie within a melting pot of Alternative Rock, Metal with Metalcore influences and modern Rock sounds, without sacrificing melody and composition in order to play to the gallery. They label their music as Crossover Rock and may have their finger on the pulse of the time. The untameable energy of these new songs will, without a doubt, be unfolded on stage. REBELLIOUS SPIRIT is going to conquer new horizons! |
